Find and open a project
- Use Search projects in the sidebar to match a project name or ID.
- Select a recent project in the sidebar to switch to it.
- Shared projects appear under Shared with me with a READ or WRITE badge.
- Select All Projects to see every active project.
On All projects, filter by Running, Finished, Needs you, Error, Stopped, or Idle. Sort by Last activity, Name, or Age.
On a narrower screen, select Expand sidebar in the icon rail, then select All Projects.
Edit the project name, mission, or goals
- Open the project.
- Select Overview.
- Select Edit.
- Update Project name, Mission, or Goals. Enter one goal per line.
- Select Save.
Set run type, thoroughness, iterations, and compute when you start a run. See Plan and start research.
Share a project
Only the project owner can manage access.
- Open the project and select Share in the header.
- Choose Read or Write.
- Select Share with my team.
- Review the entry under Current access.
To share with one teammate instead, enter their account ID and select Add. The dialog cannot find teammates by name or email, so use this option only when you already have the account ID. You can share only with your own team or an account on that team.
| Access | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Owner | View and change the project, chat, queue and start work, manage sharing, and move the project to Trash. The owner's account pays for shared-project chat and runs. |
| Write | View the project and use write controls, including chat, queued work, project files, and Start Marvin. It does not allow sharing or moving the project to Trash. |
| Read | View the project, results, and available files. It does not allow sending chat messages, changes, or starting a run. |
To remove access, open Share and select Revoke access beside the person or team. The revoked account loses access on its next request. Work already started may still need to be stopped from the project or its external service.
Move a project to Trash
Only the owner can move a project to Trash.
- Open Settings in the project.
- Find Danger zone.
- Select Move to Trash and confirm.
Moving a project to Trash removes it and its data from active projects. Marvin stops the active project chat and research process before moving it. This does not confirm cancellation of work already accepted by an external service. Check that service separately.
Restore a project
Projects remain recoverable for 30 days.
- Open All Projects.
- Expand Recently deleted.
- Select Restore.
If another active project already uses the same project ID, Marvin restores the project with a new ID and shows the new name. After the recovery window, the project can be permanently removed.
Deleting an uploaded dataset is different. Dataset deletion is immediate and cannot be restored from project Trash. See Use datasets and project files.
