Account and preferences

Select your name or avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open account Settings. Use it to review your account, choose notifications, manage experimental features, and check your research environment. Project Settings applies only to the open project.

Sign in or out

Open the sign-in page and choose Sign in with Google or Sign in with GitHub. Marvin shows only the providers configured for that environment.

If sign-in fails, read the displayed reason before retrying.

Open Settings > Profile to view your name, email address, role, and current plan. These fields identify the signed-in account; this screen does not edit them.

Select Sign out from Profile when you are finished on a shared computer.

Choose notifications

Open Settings > Notifications. You can choose the available channels for each category:

CategoryAvailable channels
Needs your inputEmail and in-app
Run failed or interruptedEmail and in-app
Results readyEmail and in-app
FundingEmail
AnnouncementsIn-app

Use the bell menu to read in-app notifications or mark them all as read. Selecting a notification opens its project or the settings page needed for the next action.

Check your research environment

Open Settings > System to check Research environment. If the status is unavailable or out of date, see Troubleshooting and support before starting another run.

Enable an experimental feature

Open Settings > Experimental features. Experimental controls appear only when they are available to your signed-in account.

Enabling an experiment does not connect an external service or confirm that service is ready. Complete any separate setup under Settings > Integrations and check the connection status before use.
