Plans, usage, and billing

Open account Settings, then select Plan & billing to review your plan, usage, wallet, and payment settings.

Check your plan

Select View plans to compare the current offers:

Marvin counts mean concurrent autonomous research projects. Unlimited Atlas searches does not mean unlimited model or compute usage.

1. Compare the plans.
2. Select the plan you need.
3. Complete the billing flow.

Some plans have eligibility requirements. Follow the message on the plan card if Marvin needs to verify your account or email address.

If you already subscribe, choosing a plan opens Stripe's confirmation for that change. Choosing Free opens cancellation; your paid plan continues until the end of the billing period. Manage subscription opens the billing portal.

Existing subscriptions keep their current price until you change plans. The Current card shows your subscription's price; if Stripe cannot be reached, it directs you to the billing portal instead of substituting a new offer's price.

Understand usage and your wallet

Plan & billing separates included model usage from your wallet.

• Base LLM Usage shows the percentage used in the current period and its reset date.
• Wallet pays for usage outside the included allowance and for Marvin-funded compute.
• A negative wallet balance is shown as a negative amount because it can block new runs.

Select the usage meter in the sidebar to open career totals and the per-project extra-cost breakdown. These totals are usage records, not a replacement for the current wallet balance.

Add credits

1. Open Settings > Plan & billing.
2. Under Wallet, select an amount.
3. Select Buy Credits and complete payment.

Use Manage Payment to update the payment details offered by the billing portal.

Set automatic top-ups

Automatic top-ups require a saved payment method.

1. Choose the amount to add per top-up.
2. Set a monthly limit.
3. Turn on automatic top-ups.

When a new run is blocked for insufficient funds, Marvin can charge the saved payment method once and then start the run. It does not charge automatic top-ups during a run or above the monthly limit. If automatic top-up is off, the run stays blocked until you add funds.

If a top-up fails, check the saved payment method and monthly limit. You can also add credits manually.

Billing for shared projects

The project owner pays for billable chat and runs in a shared project, including work submitted by a collaborator with write access. Read-only collaborators cannot send chat messages or start runs. Review access before sharing a project; see Manage and share projects.

When a run is blocked

Read the funding message before retrying.

• Add credits or enable automatic top-ups if the Marvin balance is insufficient.
• Update the saved payment method if a charge fails.
• Increase the monthly top-up limit only if you intend to spend more that month.
• If a connected compute provider bills your own workspace, check that provider's account and funding separately. See Connect services and model providers.

When the wallet is exhausted, you can still open and read saved project chat. Add funds before sending a new message or retrying a failed turn. In a shared project, the owner must add the funds; adding credits to a collaborator's account does not fund that project's chat. Reading saved chat does not start new work.
